The ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach will hold a joint public workshop at 5 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 30, to offer the public an opportunity to comment on the recently released draft update of the Clean Air Action Plan, or CAAP. The public workshop will be held at Banning’s Landing Community Center, 100 E. Water St. in Wilmington.

Participants interested in commenting at the workshop may do so by providing verbal comments at the microphone (up to three minutes per speaker) and/or submitting written comments on a comment card. Simultaneous Spanish translation will be available at the meeting. The meeting can also be viewed via live webcast on both of the ports’ websites and the CAAP site.

In addition, written comments may be submitted via email to [email protected] until 5 p.m. on Sept. 18, 2017. A joint meeting of the two ports’ Harbor Commissions is planned in November to consider the final draft. Interested parties are encouraged to register on the CAAP website to receive the latest information and meeting notices.
