Real-Time Air Quality
The Ports collect air and weather data in the harbor area on a real-time basis to provide timely and accurate information on air quality in the Port region. There are two air monitoring stations in Long Beach and four in Los Angeles.
About CAAP
The San Pedro Bay Ports Clean Air Action Plan was enacted in 2006 by the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach to significantly reduce the health risks posed by air pollution from port-related ships, trains, trucks, terminal equipment and harbor craft.
