The ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles and South Coast AQMD continue good faith negotiations twice a week to reach an agreed upon Cooperative Agreement.

A public meeting is scheduled for Aug. 28 at 5 p.m. where South Coast AQMD along with the ports will provide updates and be available to answer questions on the current process. Meeting details will be posted at aqmd.gov.

The public will also be able to provide written comments during the 45-day period and comments will be available on both South Coast AQMD and the ports’ Clean Air Action Plan websites.

We began focused conversations, specifically discussions have been centered around infrastructure planning, authority, CAAP measures and ocean-going vessels.
