Today’s approval of the cooperative agreement by the South Coast Air Quality Management District marks an important step forward to accelerate further progress in cleaning the air at the nation’s largest port complex.
It grew out of a transparent public process and is the product of extensive collaboration between AQMD and the Ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles. This item will go before the Long Beach Board of Harbor Commissioners on Monday, Nov. 10; the Los Angeles Board of Harbor Commissioners will consider the item Thursday, Nov. 20.
